Cool Shrike tutorial

Neocrones has this really cool guide on piloting a shrike, this is for the T2 players, it ranges from showing manuevers in ramming other players without blowing yourself up (which I do myself quite a bit) and good advice on dodging missles, along with how to make your flight in the friendly skies more enjoyable, check it out here.

Some of the first things in getting the site back in order was getting a new forum since the previous has departed from us. This new forum is alot more customizable so I think all TO and non-TO members will like it, let me know your opinions if any, thx.

Hello to my fellow tribemates, I know most of you must be wondering "What da hell happened to Hawk??!" well truth is my damn tribes 2 cd or install doesn't work. I've been out of tribes for more than 2 months, if you haven't encountered this same issue its due to my patch not working, I get the audio.vl2 error, and I've done everything in the book to fix this issue, the only other thing I can try is another hard drive, (yes I have even reinstalled windows twice). I called sierra as well and it turns out they don't know much about this issue either. When I get the new drive I'm hoping it'll work, guess we'll have to wait and see, hopefully within the month I should have the drive and just pray it works cuase I truly due miss tribes.

OGL Tribes 2 & Our Server

Today after looking at our list for OGL tribes 2 I was told by the ladder admin for T2 CTF we need 16 players minimum, so we are a bit behind for competing which means we need more T2 players, I will be trying to get more T2 players and if anyone in T2 can refer people to our site feel free cuase we need all the help we can get in T2. In other matters the server has been down and will be up today for T1, sorry this nimda virus has been a big problem and has taken alot of my time to get fixed being it spread in our vast network. Though things should be back to normal today so the server will be up later on, thx for your patience. Also please welcome our newest T1 members Ben, Deuce & E. Cray.

I'm glad to say I had some good responses from the email for OGL competition in tribes 2, I'll have to setup the team so if your not registered in OGL make sure you get registered, most battles will have to take place more the probably Friday nights at 11pm or so, its the best time I've seen everyone available, especially for those who are in school. Also we have a new messageboard, the previous board had way too many glitches so the new one is alot more simple and not as nice but it will serve its purpose and you can post pics in your threads, try it out and let me know what you guys think.

Lets welcome Branden and Squeakers to the tribe, which all in all I believe gives us a good amount of Tribes 2 players to start competing in the OGL. If anyone is interested please let me know, hehe stupid question actually I'll send out an email to get all players who would be dedicated into competing. I would like the tribe to welcome our newest members for tribes 1 and some for tribes 2, Sarge948, Tourhcky, Waj44, PoopyPants, Blackfoot, and Almatty have just joined us. Other news is our server situation, right now our server is down and should be up and running by the end of this week I'm hoping, it just so happened it was in perfect timing with my pc being down as well which is why I could not update the site as often. I will announce when our server is back up and running by email, any questions please let me know.

well, i posted this info on the starsiege forums, so i figured it might be a good thing to post here as well:

Just to sum up what's been going on:

• Yes, Dynamix is closed.
• Monday will be details for employees.
• No, I'm not sure what's up with the servers.
• I'll ask Mikel to find out more info on the servers.

The forums won't go anywhere. It's a depressing time for all of us... ::sighs:: and here i was looking forward to running back into that building to annoy people some more... but, alas, it looks as though i'll have to find other ways to meet up with my friends while i'm out there...

and, from a business standpoint, vivendi universal did have some good reasons to close dynamix. i know that none of you will be able to see it that way, but trust me, there are reasons. there is no fault and no blame will be placed for this occurence.

The news is depressing but true, there has been some rumors about this and I guess this clears it up, from what I heard sierra will continue to make patches for tribes 2 but thats about it, go to sierra's site for more info or head to the forum here.
